It looks like we both had some afterthoughts on protecting those F16s and I was coming here to post this. Ukraine wants Poland to protect the space near its border, presumably with air defense batteries of some kind. It might work on Poland, they seem to be really concerned about this conflict and strongly support Ukraine. Here's a quick link to what I was going to post:
