Israeli forces shoot Palestinian man during storming of Balata camp

The Israeli military has shot a Palestinian man during their storming of the Balata refugee camp near Nablus in the occupied West Bank, the Wafa news agency reports. The man’s condition is unknown.

Israeli forces have also stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and detained several Palestinians, according to Wafa.


Hamas says commander among those killed in Ramallah

The Hamas group says one of its commanders stationed in the occupied West Bank was among four people killed by the Israeli military near the city of Ramallah.

In a statement, they named Mohammed Jaber Abdo as among the four Palestinian fighters killed in Monday night’s incident.

We previously reported that Israeli troops raided the village of Kafr Nima searching for a Palestinian man they accused of carrying out an arson attack in an illegal Israeli outpost. Israeli forces opened fire on the vehicle the four were in. All four men were killed while eight other people were wounded in the raid.

Ghassan Abdo, the uncle of one of the Palestinian men killed by Israeli forces during their raid of the West Bank town of Kufr Ni’meh, has said Israeli special forces broke into his home to wage an attack on a vehicle passing by.

The Israeli forces, Abdo told Al Jazeera, climbed onto his roof and then shot at a car carrying a Palestinian who had been wounded or killed during the raid. “After that, those who were on the roof of our house started shooting everywhere randomly,” said Abdo, calling their actions a “big crime”.
