Wii had plenty of options, the reason wii classic controller didn't support every game similar to WiiU pro controller not supporting every WiiU game is due to the lack of motion in those controllers. Something that Nintendo solved in the pro controller by adding motion lol. 

No i'm talking about games like mario galaxy where you had to use motion controls for gameplay. almost every game  had it forced but it was a short lived fad.

It was so short lived that Super Mario Odyssey also forced motion controls in gameplay some 10 years later. Nintendo literally doesn't sell a controller without motion controls, whether it's joycons or pro controller.
