Sportsfriends is a collection of multiplayer party games released in 2014 by indie studio Die Gut Fabrik. It's an oddball thing, but also really good: We rated it as one of the best local multiplayer games on PC a few years after it came out, calling it "intense, entertaining, and varied." And with its 10th anniversary now looming, the studio has decided to make it fully free on Steam and every other platform where it's available.
It's not just a birthday celebration: Sportsfriends producer Doug Wilson said the decision came in part because "we're not in a position to support or update Sportsfriends moving forward," a situation presumably brought about by Die Gut Fabrik's recent troubles: Earlier this year, the studio "halted production" after it was unable to find funding for its next project.

MADFINGER Games has announced that its MMO open-world tactical FPS, Gray Zone Warfare, has sold 900K units in its first month. The game is available in Early Access on Steam, and it’s powered by Unreal Engine 5.
The devs claimed that this success ensures their long-term commitment to Gray Zone Warfare. As such, the game will continue to improve and evolve.

Arkane Austin has just released Game Update 4, the final patch for Redfall, which adds an Offline Mode. This patch is 16GB in size on the PC, and it’s available right now for download on Steam.
Alongside the Offline Mode, Game Update 4 revamps Neighborhood and Nest systems, and allows you to pause in single-player. It also brings numerous bug fixes and tweaks.

Unreal Engine 5-powered third-person co-op action RPG shooter, The First Descendant, will get a release date on June 7th
