Haven't you heard? The PC Gaming Show is returning on June 9 with over 70 games, promising a mix of world premieres, new content for some of your favourite games, and exclusive looks at some of the most exciting titles coming in the next few years.
Today, we're excited to lift the lid a little on what we've been cooking up, starting with the hosts: Mica Burton, Sean 'Day9' Plott and Frankie Ward are all returning to host the PC Gaming Show for the 10th anniversary extravaganza, celebrating not just 10 years of the show, but also a golden decade of PC Gaming.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Remix players went on a frog-killing rampage, Blizzard put a stop to it, and now nobody is happy
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/world-of-warcraft/world-of-warcraft-mists-of-pandaria-remix-players-went-on-a-frog-killing-rampage-blizzard-put-a-stop-to-it-and-now-nobody-is-happy/
Mists of Pandaria Remix launched late last week, kicking World of Warcraft players back in time to hang out with some chill pandas. Unlike Chromie Time, which lets players pick an expansion to level up in, Remix requires you to roll a new timewalking character who won't be able to leave Pandaria until the end of the event in a few months. During this sojourn, you'll find new ways to earn transmogs, toys and mounts, including some rewards that used to be incredibly hard to unlock.
It's a fun diversion while we wait for The War Within, but it's also generated a fair share of drama and is proving to be just as divisive as the original expansion. At the heart of this is the much-touted accelerated levelling, the expectation that we'd all have god-like power, and lots of frogs.

Escape from Tarkov dev's latest wheeze is to offer players $50 'compensation' after a price U-turn, but rather than a refund it's a one-time use $50 Tarkov voucher

It has been a terrible month for Escape from Tarkov. (...)
Despite the reverse-ferret from BSG, some bad blood yet lingers among the playerbase. One of the things BSG promised was "compensation" of some kind for owners of the Edge of Darkness Edition (the old one that was supposed to include everything). As it was, BSG initially offered these players the chance to upgrade to the Unheard Edition (the villain of the piece) for the low price of $100, and yes I'm being sarcastic.
This was another thing that got rolled back: BSG lowered the upgrade price to $50 for these players. Unfortunately some had already upgraded at $100. What to do, what to do. Well you could refund those players $50 of course or you could, as BSG has chosen to do, issue them with a onetime voucher "worth" $50 that can only be spent on BSG content.
"If the cost of all the expansions you have selected is lower than the compensation, the remaining balance cannot be used later," says BSG on X. It did, however, deploy the classic technique known as the shit sandwich by announcing this alongside Escape from Tarkov: Arena (a standalone battle royale mode) becoming available to Unheard Edition owners, alongside a bonus for all players: "in-game stash size has been increased by two lines." Which might sound like nothing to non-players, but it would otherwise cost you around $3, so folk will certainly take it.

Ubisoft wants to be very clear that XDefiant won't have any pay-to-win elements, pinkie promise: 'We know this is an important topic'

XDefiant had previously announced that it will not be using skill-based matchmaking to group players in casual queues, and  is now out to convince players that it won't allow any pay-to-win features to intrude on the upcoming FPS game.

Just 2 weeks before its early access release, Life By You is delayed again, this time without a new date
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/life-sim/2-weeks-before-its-early-access-release-life-by-you-is-delayed-again-this-time-without-a-new-date/
In what feels a bit like a cold shower for life sim players who'd been looking forward to the first major competitor to The Sims launching this summer, Life By You has been delayed again. The life sim led by former Sims studio head Rod Humble will not be launching into early access on June 4 as planned and has not chosen a new release date.

Blizzard addresses Diablo 4's gold problem in a patch, but nobody is quite sure if it's solved yet
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/blizzard-addresses-diablo-4s-gold-problem-in-a-patch-but-nobody-is-quite-sure-if-its-solved-yet/
Before Blizzard rebalanced almost every aspect of Diablo 4 with the launch of season 4, gold wasn't a problem. Now it is and, despite Blizzard already making one change already, players can't agree on what needs to be done next.

The developer of exceptional 2022 sci-fi adventure Norco is following it up with a 'narrative micro-adventure' about an android exploring an AI-haunted oil refinery

We absolutely loved Norco, the haunting 2022 southern gothic cyberpunk point and click adventure, so we've been eager to see what would come next from developer Geography of Robots. Now we know: Silenus looks to be a smaller-scale, but no less striking adventure, and its free demo comes with a funky tie-in to a Louisanna metal band that supplied some of Norco's music.

Hand-drawn adventure game comes to Steam after being dropped from Apple Arcade, creator laments the way games 'can just vanish' today

Inkblot Obra-Dinn-like adventure game The Collage Atlas originally released as an iOS exclusive in 2020, but when its Apple Arcade contract expired last year, the striking pen and ink game became unplayable. To keep it alive, its creator released a Steam version last month.

Starving Heroes of Might & Magic fans finally eat as spiritual successor Songs of Conquest leaves its 2-year early access behind
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/strategy/starving-heroes-of-might-and-magic-fans-finally-eat-as-spiritual-successor-songs-of-conquest-leaves-its-2-year-early-access-behind/
Songs of Conquest, the really quite good and really quite pretty Heroes of Might & Magic-like that first hit early access in 2022, has reached its final form. Well, kind of. The game has finally left early access for the sunlit uplands of a 1.0 release, but the devs promise more development to come: "This is merely the beginning of a new chapter in our epic saga," they say.
