Rescuing survivors, recovering bodies ‘very difficult’ in northern Gaza
The Gaza Civil Defence agency says the “intensification” of attacks by Israeli forces on homes in northern Gaza has made it challenging for its teams to carry out their work.
“It has become very difficult for our crews to deal with rescuing the wounded and recovering the [dead],” the agency’s spokesperson said on Telegram.
Israeli troops are operating in northern Gaza after Hamas “rehabilitated its military capabilities” over the past few months, military spokesman Daniel Hagari told reporters.

Israeli jets ‘carpet-bombing’ Jabalia: Report
The Wafa news agency is reporting heavy Israeli bombardment in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
Citing local sources, Wafa said that “Israeli fighter jets carpet-bombed” eastern areas of Jabalia, killing several people. The agency said the exact number of casualties was not immediately clear.
Wafa also said that Israeli quadcopter drones opened fire on ambulances near a UNRWA clinic in the centre of Jabalia. The attacks come as the Israeli army renewed its assault on northern Gaza after previously saying it had defeated Hamas in the area.
Earlier, our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic captured Israeli bombardment in Jabalia, with correspondent Anas al-Sharif describing “fire belt” bombing in the area. The attacks also destroyed al-Sharif’s home.
All hospitals in north Gaza ‘out of service’: Civil Defence
A spokesperson from Gaza Civil Defence has told Al Jazeera that all hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip are now out of service.

‘We are on the verge of going insane’: Beit Lahiya resident
Palestinians in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza told Al Jazeera they do not know where to go as Israeli forces intensified attacks there after ordering residents in the area to evacuate.
“We are shocked. We do not know what to do. We are physically and mentally worn out. We are on the verge of going insane. We have been under this hell for eight months. Enough is enough,” said Emad Oudeh.
“Look at this, rubbish and debris. We are dying just to get our hands on some water or something to feed our children. This is not life. We struggle to get firewood and feed our starving children, and above all, the Israelis have been hitting us with missiles and bombs for months. What adds insult to injury is the recent warning; for God’s sake, where do we go? Even Rafah is coming under attack.”
