I wonder what statement from Phil they're refering to about makign all games from Bethesda exclusive?
Because I seem to recall Call of Duty being promised to remain on other systems rather early (before it became part of the court case), and was followed by a statement (not from Phil) about how they will evaluate which games make sense to be on multiple systems, and I speculated that Elder Scrolls 6 would not be multiplat.
That's different from going full third party, but the extent of their third party plans may have changed along the way.
I was about to say that Tango being on the list is probably the main reason the reactions are so strong this time.
Not much makes sense about that one, aside from HFR not selling well.
Shadow dropped without any promotional push leading up to release, when the future of the studio apparently depended on it.
Did it even matter to them what it would sell on Playstation and Switch 2? I don't know how long in advance you need to plan out the closure of a studio, but it's only been a month and a half since it released on PS5.
The game being so critically acclaimed is especially what makes it so inconcievable to me.
I hope the I.P. somehow lands with the original team. But that's so difficult to arrange when a team is split up and go separate ways.
