Yeah, i bet that NATO has their reasons for keeping Turkey and Hungary in the group, but i'm starting to really doubt their usefullness in the organization at this point. |
Unfortunately, Türkiye is quite important to NATO, they have a powerful military and geographically are in a strategic position, in addition to that, Türkiye controls the strait into the Black Sea which is currently closed and therefore Russia can't send any additional military ships into the Black Sea which is probably a huge help to Ukraine.
The issue is 100% Erdogan, he is just a fucker who plays all sides and that does benefit us slightly because while Erdogan is shaking Putin's hand one moment, he's knifing him in the black the next, for example by backing rival proxy forces to Russia's proxy forces, Lol. But he also treats Europe the same. He is the peak example of a person having no allegiances, he is only in it for himself.
Türkiye will hopefully be a better ally when he finally fucks off.
Hopefully Türkiye isn't in EU anytime soon.
As for Hungary, Lol. I'm not sure we need them in NATO and we especially don't need them in EU but if they want to remain part of NATO then I can accept the rest of NATO countries just refusing to share intel with Hungary, it ain't like Hungary is a threat to anyone, if they want to be part of a collective defence part then whatever, they cause way more problems in EU than they do NATO, in NATO we can just ignore them, Lol.
