Ukraine is set to receive five anti-mine ships from NATO to address the ongoing threat of mines in the Black Sea. While preparations are underway, the Montreux Convention currently restricts the entry of these ships into the Black Sea until the end of the conflict. Crews for two ships received from Britain have already undergone training, while three more ships from the Netherlands and Belgium are in the pipeline.
