There's a certain amount of hypocrisy in that, helping Israel take down Iranian drones and missiles is seen as de-escalation but helping Ukraine take down Russian drones and missiles, including many of which are Iranian made, would be seen as dangerous escalation. Israel refusing to help Ukraine because they want friendly relations with Russia, the same Russia who is helping Iran.

I know it's "Nukes Nukes Nukes" but probably Iran will have nukes eventually thanks to Russia and then what? Would we stop defending Israel because Iran had nukes? I somehow don't believe that we would put our hands up and go "sorry Israel, we can't defend you anymore, Iran has nukes, bye" and just completely abandon actually getting involved in defending them.
