There's a certain amount of hypocrisy in that, helping Israel take down Iranian drones and missiles is seen as de-escalation but helping Ukraine take down Russian drones and missiles, including many of which are Iranian made, would be seen as dangerous escalation. Israel refusing to help Ukraine because they want friendly relations with Russia, the same Russia who is helping Iran.
I know it's "Nukes Nukes Nukes" but probably Iran will have nukes eventually thanks to Russia and then what? Would we stop defending Israel because Iran had nukes? I somehow don't believe that we would put our hands up and go "sorry Israel, we can't defend you anymore, Iran has nukes, bye" and just completely abandon actually getting involved in defending them.
@SecDef Why do this for Israel with its enormous air/missile defense capabilities but not for Ukraine's cities and civilians which are almost undefended. Let's organize for victory: muster political will and industrial capacity to defeat Russia first and isolate Iran=deter China. https://t.co/HH48hVlDfD

Why don't we see similar statements about Ukraine? It is high time to stop being hypocritical and finally act. The first step in restoring US credibility would be the immediate approval of the Ukraine aid package by Congress. https://t.co/IigOaZzdFm
