Wholly agreed.  Which is why I giggle when new consoles are announced, the hype is always amusing.  Rumors are even better.  

I was hoping for most games being native 1440p at 60 fps, or at least 40 fps 120 hz.  Perhaps I'm too fps driven, but 30 fps is terrible and needs to die.

While 30 fps will always be there, the optional 40 fps mode for 120 Hz TV's should always be offered, why is only Sony caring about 40 fps support on consoles?
