For all intent and purposes, they had 117K consoles sold in March. The tally is down 15% from last year's March.

These numbers aren't too impressive when other markets like Japan can sell that amount in a single week sometimes.

Also, the pessimistic approach to the PS5 people had were moreso based on the last financial sharings from Sony where they downed their forecast and announced a lesser Q4 in terms of shipped consoles.

It goes to say, that the sold to consumer numbers isn't the problem here but the shipped numbers which might have suffered because of lack of demand last quarter and over shipping.

The UK is half the population and Japan has been exporting a lot of consoles these past years though (a Switch OLED being a mere $250 there and even after two price increases the disc PS5 is just $440).

Any PlayStation or Switch being sold in Europe is probably netting at least twice the profit of Japan and its unofficial exports.
