2023 and it’s not even close. Got a new Zelda, Pikmin (alongside shadow dropped ports), mainline 2D Mario, Metroid Prime Remake, Mario RPG Remake, three monstrous waves of MK8D DLC, Advanced Wars, and…still so much more. They hit all of my favorite franchise in the best possible way! 2017 is a strong contender, but ultimately that year is carried almost entirely by Mario Odyssey, BotW, and M+R for me. 2023 had so much more: Similar highs, and a lot more of them.
