I think their bigger goal is to normalize all games (or almost all) coming to both Nintendo systems and PC. The more third party games on a Nintendo system, the less special Playstation is. However, it's even more important for Microsoft to get all games to come to PC, because the PC is their platform. Interesting, that could be true. But it doesn't fit in with what Microsoft is doing, since they've released recently 4 games on PS5 and 2 games on Switch.
