Forcing PC gamers to Xbox achievements is a naive move. Blizzard games have been on https://t.co/RY8geW2U52, w/ its own achievement system forever. Besides, the achievement system on Xbox needs a v2 and modernization. Steam, Xbox, PS, https://t.co/RY8geW2U52 - all diff systems.

I agree, they should.

Problem with putting Trophies or Achievements on PC is they will get hacked. Just like you can hack achievements on Steam today. PC isn't a secure device. That might be OK - but many will care if 40% of the gaming community has 1M+ gamerscore. This is why we need a new system.

Today, if you play OW or Diablo 4 on https://t.co/mLNXyv1kce then log into an Xbox console the associated Xbox achievements unlock automatically. So if you have Game Pass Ultimate and play on PC, then load it on Xbox - you get both achievement systems.

I don't think anyone is treating it "second class". It's just that Xbox has thousands of entitlements (games) for console. They don't have that for PC. So of course console will "seem" ahead. It's a hard problem. They could fund their way out of it if it was a high priority.
