Israeli military says Palestinian fighter killed after Ramallah attack

The Israeli military says a combat helicopter has “eliminated” a Palestinian gunman who had opened fire on an Israeli vehicle near Ramallah earlier today. The man, who can be seen in the video below verified by Al Jazeera, had carrier out the attack this morning in the occupied West Bank.

At least 60 Israeli military operations in West Bank in two days: UN

The UNRWA report on Israeli assaults on Palestinians during Ramadan that we covered earlier also says there were at least 60 operations by the Israeli military across the occupied West Bank between March 19 and 20.

During that time, 50 Palestinians were detained, including four children at Bab al-Zahra in Jerusalem’s Old City.

The night of March 20 was “one of the deadliest recorded to date” in the occupied West Bank during 2024, UNRWA says, as at least seven Palestinian refugees were killed in two drone strikes, with three killed in Jenin city and four in the Nur Shams refugee camp.

On March 19 alone, Israeli settlers illegally took over 20 residential structures belonging to Palestinians in the central part of the West Bank, and on the next day a Palestinian farmer was physically assaulted and settlers set fire to his vehicle.

Israeli forces raid towns around Jenin

The Israeli army launched incursions into towns around Jenin, the occupied West Bank, setting up military checkpoints and seizing property, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reports. The raids took place in Yabad, Arraba, al-Jalama, Faqoua, Beit Qad, and Jalbun.

The army seized an agricultural bulldozer from the village of Zababdeh, south of Jenin, the agency reported.
