^^Well, Nintendo has a valid fear of people using voice chat. There are very vulgar people out there and as Wii is mainly for families, voice chatting could likely be met with some bad experiences.

Well nintendo is most likely implementing voice chat. Seeing as high voltage studios is saying that the conduit may have voice chat, and that the technology is coming, but they dom't know if it will be in time. Also the ds has voice chat so your point  is moot.

Well that game is not really for the family, so my point still stands.  I have played online on both the pc and on Live and can say that you will find vulgarity wherever you go.  Not sure how my point is moot though.  The fact that they didn't implement it before is either from laziness or because of a valid reason, one probably being inappropriate content.  And with a browser the person goes to the content, the content does not come to you like voice chat.

I do believe it's just laziness on their part. The same with the storage solution and the same with the Friend Codes. They took a lazy attempt at implementing online gaming and features and it shows. Still, how does having voice chat in Pokemon show Nintendo has a valid fear of voice chat. That should have been the last game to get it, not the first. It has a huge audience of young children, much more so I believe than Brawl or Mario Kart.
