Monday news, part two:
Mechs are here! Helldivers 2 players liberate Tien Kwan blisteringly fast to get their hands on the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/third-person-shooter/mechs-are-here-helldivers-2-players-liberate-tien-kwan-blisteringly-fast-to-get-their-hands-on-the-exo-45-patriot-exosuit/
The latest Helldivers 2 major order is complete—and they weren't kidding, Tien Kwan was really churning out those suckers before it got invaded.
Turns out these mechs were ready to go a little while back. The moment players finished liberating Tien Kwan from the Automaton menace, the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit became available to unlock in the game. It costs a whopping 20,000 requisition slips, but I reckon that's a small price to pay for freedom (and mechs). It also requires level 25, so our cadets will be waiting a little while longer.
>> Unfortunately, people rushed to try them and that made the servers suffer.
Chasing the Unseen is a delightfully strange and meditative take on Shadow of the Colossus, where the giant beasties can't hurt you and your mission is to climb

Heading into Chasing the Unseen, I was expecting Shadow of the Colossus, but without the sword. What I got instead was a delightfully weird, mindful little experience about climbing—and after spending most of my time this week shooting bugs for Super Earth and desperately trying to learn tabletop rules for my gaming group, it's just what I needed.

Fortnite remains offline as Epic struggles with unexpected issues: 'This stuff is tricky!' Tim Sweeney says
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/battle-royale/fortnite-remains-offline-as-epic-struggles-with-unexpected-issues-this-stuff-is-tricky-tim-sweeney-says/
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 was supposed to go live today, and it still might, but if you're waiting eagerly to jump back into the game you'll likely have noticed that it hasn't happened yet. And it won't for a while: Epic said it ran into an "unexpected issue" during downtime, and it seems to be having problems getting it fixed.
>> The article has three days and there’s no update (yet) to say it’s been fixed.
The sequel to Valiant Hearts has finally come to PC after more than as a year as a Netflix exclusive
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/adventure/the-sequel-to-valiant-hearts-has-finally-come-to-pc-after-more-than-as-a-year-as-a-netflix-exclusive/
I really liked Valiant Hearts—more than our reviewer, who found it "visually stunning but mechanically lacklustre." (…)
I was understandably disappointed, then, when Ubisoft released the sequel, Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, as a mobile game available exclusively via Netflix. (…)
As of today, I don't have to. More than a year after its release on Netflix, Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is now available on PC, and consoles if that's how you roll. The new (to us) game features a structure similar to the original, telling the interconnected stories of four characters in the dying days of the war: James, a member of the Harlem Hellfighters; Ernst, a German diver; George, a British flyer; and the nurse Anna, returning from the first game. The German Army medical dog Walt is also back, to lend a hand (paw, I suppose) with puzzles and exploration.
New Blood boss wanted Dusk to be as moddable as Doom and Skyrim: 'If there's not anime big tiddy waifus in Dusk by the time we're done with the SDK, then we haven't done it right'

Before Dusk HD ballooned into a full overhaul of the game's graphics, it was meant to be a companion piece to an oft-requested feature for the beloved 2018 boomer shooter: a full software development kit (SDK) for modders to run wild with, alongside Steam Workshop support for those mods.
"You see what people do with Skyrim," New Blood boss Dave Oshry said in a recent interview. "If there's not anime big tiddy waifus in Dusk by the time we're done with the SDK, then we haven't done it right.

600 Activision QA workers just formed the biggest videogame union in the US
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/600-activision-qa-workers-just-formed-the-biggest-videogame-union-in-the-us/
First reported by The Verge, 600 Activision QA workers have formed a new union at the publisher. It was organized through the Communications Workers of America (CWA), like other unions at the company, and this new union is now the largest in the American gaming industry, surpassing the 300-person Zenimax Workers United, a fellow CWA union at another Microsoft subsidiary.
Elden Ring once had a different starting location, and while it makes more sense than the one we got, I'm glad they changed it
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/elden-ring-once-had-a-different-starting-location-and-while-it-makes-more-sense-than-the-one-we-got-im-glad-they-changed-it/
Souls series dataminer Sekiro Dubi recently found evidence of an alternate starting location in Elden Ring. After your "supposed to lose" fight with a Grafted Scion in the Chapel of Anticipation, you would have washed ashore on a beach in Limgrave instead of waking up underground.
Build a mobile fortress on the back of a walking tree in colony survival game Ark of Charon
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/strategy/build-a-mobile-fortress-on-the-back-of-a-walking-tree-in-colony-survival-game-ark-of-charon/
An upcoming colony sim will merge itself with the tower defense genre. In Ark of Charon you're in charge of building a fortress on the back of the walking sapling of the world tree as it travels to where it will grow—all the while defending it from the hordes of monsters that attack at every turn.
Arrange your items to optimize your fights in asynchronous autobattler Backpack Battles
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/arrange-your-items-to-optimize-your-fights-in-asynchronous-autobattler-backpack-battles/
The autobattling head-to-head RPG where you play inventory tetris to build your character, Bakcpack Battles, released its Early Access build this week. Each round you go up against a build made by another player before hitting up the shop to grab a new stuff with the gold you've won. It's like PvP but without the stress of a real-time game—the person you're "playing against" made that build hours ago, maybe.
Please excuse my bad English.
