Hezbollah fires rocket towards northern Israeli army base

Hezbollah says it struck an Israeli army base with a Burkan rocket earlier today. The Israeli military, however, says the projectile “fell in an open area” near Yiftah, a kibbutz in northern Israel. Israeli forces responded with a retaliatory strike towards the launch site in Lebanon, an Israeli military statement added.

The cross-border attacks follow Hezbollah strikes on five Israeli positions yesterday, including in Kfar Chouba on the eastern side of the border and Jal al-Alam on the western side.

Isareli raid destroys house in Lebanon’s Majdal Zoun

An Israeli air raid has destroyed a house in Lebanon’s southern town of Majdal Zoun, according to Lebanon’s NNA state news agency. It added that ambulances were sent to the scene. The number of victims has not been confirmed.

NNA and local media said the first missile did not explode, while the second one destroyed a building. Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah armed group have been trading fire across the border since the beginning of the war in Gaza. Israeli raids have killed more than 200 Hezbollah members, according to local media reports.

Israel strikes home in Lebanon’s Kafra

Israeli warplanes have hit a house in Lebanon’s southern town of Kafra, in the Nabatieh governorate, according to the NNA state news agency. Ambulances and civil defence vehicles rushed to the scene, the Lebanese news outlet said. There was no immediate information about the casualties.

The attack comes after rocket warning sirens sounded in northern Israel and a residential home was hit the Lebanese town of Majdal Zoun.

Hezbollah claims hitting Israeli military barracks in occupied Shebaa Farms

Lebanon’s Hezbollah armed group has said in a statement on Telegram that it launched a “direct hit” at the Zibdin barracks of the Israeli military in the occupied Shebaa Farms. The group said the attack was “in support of the Palestinian people and their honourable resistance”.

There was no immediate information about the casualties.
