And while they didn't look that pixelated, they tended to have the problem of looking somewhat washed out due to the color bleeding.

CRT TVs are certainly not without their own set of problems, but for 2D games of 8/16 bit era I find them to be exactly what those games were counting on (though later CRT TVs, from 00s, were maybe even a bit "too good").

For 3D era, I don't mind rendering games with higher res internally and with plenty of AA (thus not being completely faithful to the original), so they look quite nice on modern TVs.

What I would like to see is a company go back and build a CRT for a modern market... Because I feel there is a large and growing market who are advocating for the older type displays in recent years.

Won't ever happen because the factories that made the individual components no longer exist.. But I would love a large modern CRT.
