Not breathing a sigh of relief, but also not a reason to expect that it'll definitely happen.

Development doesn't always work that way.
If it's deemed too expensive to release/market a product, they might very well shelf a finished project and take the loss. The Last of Us Factions from ND was probably pretty far along, they spent multiple years on it.
It's also hard to say when Media Molecule started their current project. Usually development has a preproduction process with a small number of developers for several years, and then you move onto full production with the full team for 2-3 years.
Starting a project in preproduction is a very different status than starting a project in full production. The latter would be pretty good for Media Molecule.
