343 also confirmed in 2021, 4 years after Halo Wars 2 released, that Halo Wars 3 wasn't currently in development and that they had no plans for it. I don't think that Xbox was happy with the sales of the 2nd game, nor 343 happy with the story for that matter, 7 years now and we still don't even know what happened to Anders after Cortana intercepted the ring that Anders launched from The Ark, there was zero follow-up to it in Halo Infinite, the books, or the comics.

Maybe so, but now with Pierre Hintz is in charge, anything is possible! Especially now that Hyenas was cancelled and Total War: Pharoah being a flop, it would've been a perfect time to collab again with Creative Assembly. 

Mint Blitz suggested it, but it would be awesome if Halo got a 64 vs 64 Battlefield-style game. Insanely large Halo maps along with Halo's signature sandbox gameplay. Would be pretty sick to see.
