This is what scares me about this generation. Before I got the PS1 I had never had a console break on me. My Nes worked until I shot it, and my SNES STILL works. Now, it's pretty much a given that at some point, my consoles are going to be sent in for repair. A Nintendo console bricking used to be unheard of. Now, there's a thread about it everyday.
I take excellent care of my hardware, and I've seen the demise of two PS1's, 3 PS2's, one DS, and an XBOX 360 (within a week of my purchase of Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, and Mass Effect, no less!). These are dangerous times.......
