Depends on how much you spend on it.
The more you spend, the better the hardware, the longer it will last.
But if it's from a hardware longevity perspective rather than performance, usually the first parts to fail is the battery.
I usually spend a good $1,000 AUD every few years on a new laptop, last one I got was a Intel 11400H+Geforce RTX 3060 6GB+32GB of Ram.. And I am contemplating a move to an RTX 4060 8GB laptop+64GB of Ram... That extra 2GB of VRAM Ram would make the difference for me for the next several years.
