I dont get it. MS has said they have several big games coming this year and Ive bought like 5 games for the Switch already this year with several more in the coming months.

They do but it's not going to be enough to hold up the entire industry. 2023 was amazing and yet...

2023 ended like a wet fart, and given everything it had going for it the market should have finished the year with stronger growth and didn't.

Xbox hardware is projected to decline in 2024, PlayStation hardware is projected to decline, Sony has no major sequels in 2024, the 3rd parties don't appear to have anything ground-breaking aside from the usual (CoD, Fifa), no Switch 2 hardware, etc. PS5 Pro is nice but it won't do anything for the overall market, Pro consoles never do, they're targeted at a hardcore smaller audience.
