Well most developers haven't show much beyond PS4 like graphics. It's becoming harder to make that distinction. I think lots of innovation is going to be needed to both speed up the pace of development, ai, animations and interactivity. With a few exceptions, the graphical leap looks like it won't really be seen until the later half of the gen

These 2 games don't look a generation apart:

We're hitting diminishing returns certainly, things look better but it's not as big of a deal.

Secondly, we're hitting a budget wall too ... you can talk about better graphics all you want, but where do you think that comes from? It doesn't come for free. From a staff that needs to be bigger and bigger and needs to be paid money for longer hours.

There's a reason CG movies cost hundreds of millions of dollars to produce, those levels of visuals don't come for free.

With Spider-Man 2 I played it for like 15 minutes and then turned it off and haven't had any itch to return to it. Yeah it's a nice game, but it's just more of the same thing and I just don't have the desire to put another 20-30 hours into the same kind of experience over and over again unless the gameplay is really, really special.

Did you buy the game expecting something different than what was shown in the trailers?  $70 to play a game for 15 minutes, isn't the best ROI for you.
