"Let's see, we have:

  • Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush basically confirmed
  • Employees making the next Halo game confirming it's on Playstation, then removing it from their Linkedin
  • Marketing directors mentioning Playstation games, then later removing it from their Linkedin
  • Marketing materials removing "Xbox" from GamePass, and simply saying "PC and Console"
  • No mention whatsoever of exclusivity for Blade or Indiana Jones
  • A "business update" coming next week, an unprecedented type of announcement
  • Employees making the next Halo game confirming it's on Playstation, then removing it from their Linkedin

I think you're talking about the Halo job posting, I can't remember it being Linkedin and it specifically said.

"Set clear design goals and deliverables, focusing the systems design team on achieving a high-quality, cohesive experience for all players, on all platforms,"

It's a fairly generic posting which doesn't mention PlayStation at all and in the context of the responsibility "Set clear design goals and deliverables, focusing the systems design team on achieving a high-quality, cohesive experience" and then "for all players, on all platforms" It's simply saying this person should ensure parity across all the platforms it is released on.

Here's another one posted last year: Lead Game Designer | Microsoft Careers

Set clear design goals and deliverables, focusing the systems design team on achieving a high-quality, cohesive experience for all players, on all platforms.

Here's one posted 2 years ago: Sandbox Design Lead at Microsoft | WORK180

Set clear design goals and deliverables, focusing the Sandbox design team on achieving a high-quality, cohesive experience for all players, on all platforms.

So this is a nothingburger.

  • Marketing directors mentioning Playstation games, then later removing it from their Linkedin

The person who mentioned PlayStation in his Linkedin was the Director of Game Content in Asia for Microsoft Gaming...But again...Microsoft already releases stuff multiplatform, Call of Duty, Blizzard titles, they'd fall under his responsibility too, so of course he'd mention PlayStation. He likely removed it because he had a bunch of weirdos posting his Linkedin all over the internet and arguing over it

  • No mention whatsoever of exclusivity for Blade or Indiana Jones

Disney confirmed Indiana Jones is exclusive.

  • Marketing materials removing "Xbox" from GamePass, and simply saying "PC and Console"

This was changed last year, all they did was remove the Xbox Logo from the image and moved "Game Pass" to the top in bold, the platforms are still listed at the bottom, Game Pass is still plastered everywhere and they instead with the saved space from removing logos, added in a descriptor of the game. Imo, it looked more like a design change than anything else cause it looks better than the old.

If not even most people at Xbox know, then some graphic designer of Xbox.com ain't going to know either, Lol.

FWIW, I've no doubt a number of titles will be coming multiplatform, like I said, Sea of Thieves and Hi Fi Rush are basically confirmed, I also think Pentiment and Grounded will likely follow, or maybe even Killer Instinct, but A LOT of these recent events have been people MASSIVELY reading into every little thing, like that GameStop post where they called it "Microsoft Game Pass" and everyone freaked out, Lol.
