Cody got screwed again lmao

Also what a way to make your World Heavyweight Championship title and champion look like a joke after that burning promo from Roman lol

Edit: And everyone who challenged for the WHC title too lol

HHH has been doing mostly a good job so far so I want to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe this is some kind of swerve... But, if this is what it looks like it may legitimately be the worst booking decision I have ever seen.

The whole appeal of Cody was that he was a guy who recognized he wasn't being used right, and instead of just sitting back and let it happen, he took a bet on himself, went out, made himself a bigger star, and then came back better than ever. This is the opposite of that. This is him earning his spot and then just politely moving aside for the Rock. Cody just comes out of this just looking like for lack of a better term, a total cuck. He just seems weak and impotent. Like he's getting screwed and he's thanking The Rock for the pleasure. Plus a big part of the story was about Dusty not getting his opportunity when he should have, and Cody wanted to right that wrong... but now he's just not.

The story is similar to Wrestlemania 20... and 30... At 20, Benoit was the talent who had been overlooked, won the Royal Rumble, and then when it came time to finally have his moment, HBK said no, and it was his time. Except, unlike Cody, Benoit said fuck no, and beat them both at Mania. At 30, Bryan was obviously the guy who the fans wanted, but an aging Hollywood star came back and was put into the picture... and again, Bryan said no. And the fans said no. And, whether or not it was really the plan all along or if they changed it along the way, Maina 30 ended as it should have. Instead of acting like those guys Cody just rolls over.

Just completely baffling booking. Even if you wanted to get to the Rock Reigns, literally the worst way to do it. Maybe the Rock just forced it since he's now on the board. I'm still hoping either it's a swerve, or maybe fan reaction will change the booking, but this sucks. Before I was going to shell out the ridiculous price to buy tickets and go. At this point, I don't really even feel like watching at home.
