It is now relatively certain that the pilot and commander of the Russian Il-22M, which made an emergency landing in Anapa, Russia, after being struck by a missile and which totally perforated the plane, perished.
Viktor Ivanovic Klimov has been declared dead on the very same day. The landing was performed by the co-pilot, who got injured.
Given the extent of the damage of the tail section shown at the picture and the fact that the pilot got killed, I assume that the whole plane and the equipment has been rendered useless.
