‘Hundred days of genocide in Gaza is lifetime of pain’: Palestinian foreign ministry
The Palestinian foreign ministry has said in a statement that “the international community is, once again, failing implement international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause”.
It also said that 100 days have passed “and the Israeli occupation has turned Gaza into an uninhabitable place, committed horrific crimes, and forcibly displaced approximately 2 million people”.
“Hundred days have passed and some countries are still unconvinced that the occupation’s massacres have eroded Israel’s ‘defence’ argument. These countries need to reassess their support for the war,” the ministry said.

Tally of Palestinians detained in occupied West Bank climbs to 5,835 since Oct. 7
In their annual report, the prisoner affairs institutions indicated that the total number of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons as of the end of December 2023 had reached roughly 8,800, including more than 80 female prisoners.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza on Oct. 7, the Israeli army has intensified its military operations in the West Bank, increasing the pace of invasions and raids on cities, towns, and refugee camps, resulting in 347 fatalities as of Saturday.
Meanwhile, the war's destruction on Gaza until Saturday left 23,843 deaths, 60,317 injuries, massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the authorities in the enclave and the United Nations.
‘Kids begging for sip of water or loaf of bread’ in Gaza: UNRWA chief
The hunger and desperations is happening “despite all the warnings we gave about this tragedy”, the chief of the UN’s refugee agency tells Al Jazeera, describing the state of Palestinian children inside UNRWA-run shelters and schools.
“Whenever you go to a school, the kids are looking at your eyes begging for a sip of water of a loaf of bread,” said Philippe Lazzarini.
“This 100 days feels to be an eternity. But despite all the adversity, I find our staff very motivated, heroic and committed to provide assistance,” he added, asking for more aid trucks to be allowed into the besieged Gaza Strip.
