Israeli army confirms fighting continuing in central, southern Gaza

The Israeli army has confirmed that its soldiers are engaged in intense combat with Palestinian fighters in the central and southern parts of Gaza. This comes as Israel’s bombing campaign continues across the besieged enclave.

An Israeli army spokesman claimed that Israel destroyed two rocket launch sites and many rocket launchers in al-Mughraqa in central Gaza. In Khan Younis in the south, he said the army also caused extensive damage, adding that several armed fighters were killed in the fighting.

This comes shortly after the Palestinian Health Ministry said at least 135 Palestinians, including a two-year-old girl, have been killed in Israeli army attacks in the past 24 hours.

Gaza City and northern Gaza need 1,300 food trucks daily

The government information office in the Gaza Strip says that Gaza City and areas in the north need 1,300 food trucks per day. Before the war started on October 7, an average of 2,000 trucks used to enter the Gaza Strip on a daily basis through the Rafah border crossing in the south.

That number has severely declined over the past three months, already exacerbating a worsening humanitarian crisis as nearly half of the territory’s population faces famine.

Israel’s aid-blocking claim against Egypt a ‘desperate attempt’

Egypt’s ambassador to Lebanon says Israeli claims that Egypt is responsible for obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip are “desperate” deflections. Alaa Moussa said it was “another desperate attempt to evade responsibilities as an occupying authority and deflect the repercussions of aid not reaching Gaza despite multiple UN resolutions on the matter”, according to LBCI Lebanon.

Moussa was also quoted as saying “this is a new attempt by Israel to cast blame on others who do not need to prove their historical stance in support of the Palestinian people’s rights and the Palestinian cause”.

UN officials and rights activists have repeatedly described how a system devised by Israel to monitor humanitarian aid going into the Gaza Strip has significantly hampered aid efforts

Rafah infrastructure ‘cannot handle’ 1.3 million residents, displaced

Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesman in the Gaza Strip, has warned that the southern city of Rafah is reaching a breaking point due to the influx of hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians and their families. “Rafah’s infrastructure, services, and health infrastructure are fragile and cannot handle the needs of 1.3 million citizens and displaced people,” al-Qudra said in a post on Telegram.

Only six ambulances left operating in Gaza

The health ministry says that only six remaining ambulances are in operation in the entire Gaza Strip. “We are still struggling to operate some essential services, including intensive care units and nurseries,” it said in a statement.

Israel’s attacks on Gaza show it has no respect for ICJ: Palestinian foreign ministry

The fact that Israel is continuing its attacks on Gaza on the heels of the genocide case at the ICJ shows that it has no respect for international law, said the Palestinian Foreign Ministry in a statement. The ministry accused Israel’s military of carrying out “war crimes” and ignoring international calls to protect civilians. It also condemned the latest round of Israeli military raids in the occupied West Bank, which have become a daily occurrence amid the war.

Same as Russia ignoring the ICJ, ICC, UNSC :/ Israel's right wing Zionist government is not going to listen.
Any response will have to come from the Israeli people putting pressure on the government and from outside by stopping arms sales and military aid to Israel.
