Xbox players benefit from Tango and Xbox benefiting. I've already played the game so I'm not losing out on anything. The game has likely exhausted most hardware sales it was going to get. Let's face it, as great as Hifi Rush is, it's not a system seller unfortunately. It should be, but it's not. Clearly the game didn't sell enough, but now it might break even or profit with a switch release. That means Tango has the greenlit to make a sequel and continue to make uniquely fun games that might not sell amazing on Xbox, but at least get a release. I'll take that any day.

I do understand the frustration about Xbox releasing games on Switch but not getting anything in exchange from Nintendo. That shit is annoying. There is nothing that can be done about 3rd party exclusives, but that goes for all platforms too. At least more FF ports seem to be coming to Xbox soon.

Wonder how long until other AA devs start porting their game over as well, or questioning why aren't X, Y and Z coming over to competitor as well. Second paragraph is my biggest annoyance lmao.

Contradicts a lot of Phil's messaging as well, that's where a lot of the problem is too. Messaging from Phil, CFO, has been poor.

I do agree the messaging has been shit and they should be clear on why some titles come and why some don't.

But it does feel specific to certain ones and still case by case, otherwise, where is Grounded for Switch? Where is Pentiment for Switch? Where is Tell Me Why for Switch? I think the question will be, did your game underperform and do you want to make a sequel to it? If so then we can talk about expanding its fanbase. Then I think they'd be various of questions of the risk/reward balance, if the title is pushing hardware, etc.

I don't think they'll be as lenient on AAAs as they're being with some AAs. But we can safely say that As Dusk Falls flopped so they've giving it another breath of life on PlayStation (wouldn't be surprised if we get a sequel) and likely the same applies to Hi-Fi Rush and neither of these titles are pushing hardware.
