I played a lot of games that depict Age of Sail period - whether it's Caribbeans, trading along coast of Europe, endless wars of that period...and what I always liked about that period is how much wind plays into your decisions in naval combat. Black Flag is terrible in giving you that feel - I had a feeling I'm "driving" motorboats, so I was utterly disappointed, to the point where I just ended up quitting game (though I liked most of the stuff on the land). I mean, FFS, there are mobile games that do that period better (from the standpoint of ships) than AC IV.
