Nintendo has taken down the PC remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX

A couple of days ago, we informed you about a fan-made remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX for PC. And, unfortunately, Nintendo has sent a letter to itch.io to remove it. As such, the game is no longer available for download.
The issue with the unofficial PC version of Zelda was that it had everything in it. Unlike other remakes or remasters, it didn’t need the original ROM file. This meant it was distributing copyrighted material. And yes, that’s most likely why Nintendo took action.

This mod brings high-quality volumetric mist/fog effects to Skyrim

Modder ‘Dr Jacopo’ has released a new mod for Skyrim Special Edition that brings to it high-quality volumetric mist/fog effects. This mod is basically a remake of the Volumetric Mists Mod that came out in 2019.
As the modder noted, the original mod had some banding issues in the sky and excessive proximal haze. The Azurite Mists Mod fixes this by using new transparent models. Additionally, it brings back proximal detail while obscuring distant landscapes. Plus, it adds more mist in specific places in Skyrim, especially in the valleys and the Sea of Ghosts.
This mod is compatible with all weather mods and HD Texture Packs. As such, you can use it with all the HD Texture Packs we’ve shared. You can find all of them in our Best Skyrim Mods article. So, be sure to check it out.

Modder ‘Halk Hogan PL’ has released a new preview video for The Witcher 3 NextGen HD Reworked. This video compares the game’s default rock textures with the new ones that will be included in this upcoming HD Texture Pack. So, be sure to watch it!

Pokemon Black & White 3D Remake Demo in Unreal Engine 5 Available For Download

ArcSin Jesse has released two Pokemon demos on PC, using Unreal Engine 5. The first one remakes N’s Castle from Pokemon: Black & White, whereas the second demo remakes the Sinnoh region. These demos have proper gameplay mechanics. So, make sure to try them if you are a die-hard Pokemon fan.
For those unaware, Sinnoh is where Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus take place. On the other hand, N’s Castle is the headquarters of Team Plasma in Pokémon Black/White. So, consider these demos as a taste of what modern remakes of these games could look like.
As said, these demos have proper gameplay mechanics. In other words, you’ll be able to find and fight other Pokemon. So yes, these fan projects have working battle system mechanics. The fact that only one person has managed to create them is also commendable. And, since we’ll never get official Pokemon games on PC, you should definitely try them.

AMD FSR 3.0 Mods Released for The Last of Us Part I & Dead Space Remake

Modder ‘LukeFZ’ has just released AMD FSR 3.0 mods for both The Last of Us Part I and Dead Space Remake. These mods are available on LukeFZ’s Patreon right now, though we should also expect to see them on NexusMods in the coming days.
YouTube’s ‘Macer’ has also shared a video, showcasing these AMD FSR 3.0 mods in action. With an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 and an AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT the user saw a 60-70% performance boost in The Last of Us Part I.
What this means is that at 1440p, the aforementioned PC system can hit framerates higher than 140fps. Since the baseline framerate was also higher than 70fps, we can assume that there aren’t any major latency issues. More powerful GPUs will also be able to hit higher framerates at 4K.

You can now enable AMD FSR 3.0 in all PC games that support DLSS 3

Now here is something for everyone who wanted to try AMD’s FSR 3.0 Frame Generation. Modder ‘Nukem9’ has shared a mod that replaces NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation with AMD FSR 3.0 FG. And, what’s amazing here is that this mod works in all the games that currently support DLSS 3.
So, you can basically use this mod in order to enable FSR 3.0 in games like Cyberpunk 2077, Layers of Fear, The Talos Principle 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Starfield, Alan Wake 2 and more.
Do note that this mod is not as good as a native FSR 3.0 implementation. For instance, in Cyberpunk 2077, there are noticeable ghosting issues. Still, it can allow all PC gamers to use Frame Generation to further boost their gaming performance.
