An amazing year, but also a really easy pick for me. Breath of the Wild is my #1 game of all time.

I’ve already written so much about it. I guess I’ll just say this: it’s a game so transcendent that it made me feel like the typically rating scale was insufficient. It essentially redefined what a “perfect” game is, for me.
