For 2017 you really should put Yakuza 0 in the mix. Not that I expect it to win but it is the game that led to the resurgence of the series in the west according to SEGA. So it is important.

Yakuza 0 was a 2015 game.

The funny thing is that I am not even sure which 1991 game that established a genre you are referring to.  There are arguably 3 in that poll.  And yes Zelda still won, lol.

But it was 2017 in the West. Most people on this forum live in the West so holding games like Persona 5 to Japanese dates when most didn't play it until it's also 2017 release date. There should be a regional distinction.
