Didnt like that much of the games on the list - this includes Smash WiiU which is my least favorite Smash game.

So I voted other and will list 3 games I enjoyed the most from 2014.

Freedom Planet (PC) - a sonic like clone that is better than Sonic and one of the best indie games I played
Bravely Default (3DS) - a great FF Spinoff
Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS) - one of the best games in the series and at the time the best Kirby game since Super Star.

If you had to narrow it down to only one game (and you do), which one would it be?

A fairly weak year for me, but there is one game I liked a lot, and it's a title most series fans have a hate boner for: Dark Souls II. When I eventually got into Soulsbornes I played them all one after the other (in a weird order), and I enjoyed it more than the first game (which I actually played last) * shrug *

Dark Souls 2 is actually a lot better than most Souls fans seems to try to paint it.
Honestly recently I'm inclined to say it was better than 1, apart from the level design.
Majula was great.

I'm currently playing through Dark Souls 2 again, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.  They do handle stats differently in DS2 compared to DS1 and maybe that irritates people.  The way that dodge-roll is handled is affected by one of your stats in DS2.
