He was one of the original people that showed the benefits of these low latency technologies so he goes back to an old driver that had Anti-Lag+ enabled and tests against Reflex. While there was one game where Reflex did a lot better, most of the games he tested, Anti-Lag+ was right there with Reflex so it might have been down to game optimization. The issue of course is the way Radeon implemented Anti-Lag+ vs Nvidia Reflex below:
