Diamond is just being the thermal conductor there, the heat still has to go somewhere. In fact, you'd need to cool it much more if you're using more power, which nowadays is being done by using copious amounts of water.

It would've been more environment-friendly and likely cheaper to just buy conventional copper dies and run at lower wattages... but common sense never got in the way of venture capitalism, did it?
