I mentioned this in my OP. "Remasters won't make it into this category (otherwise Metroid Prime would be here) but Remakes can."
Resident Evil 4 is a remake, and not a remaster.
Those have made it into the the shortlist before. One of them in fact was Resident Evil 2 Remake.

I feel like Diablo 4 might have made it in, if not for the huge controversy with the Season 1 patch diaster, that made negative headlines everywhere.
To their credit they reversed their mistakes and are working to gain back player trust.
