Thsnks for sharing that tweet.

The problem with interviews is that you don't know what ends up being left out of the cut or the way things are said. In any case, what the article says and Willits' response aren't mutually exclusive. Howard may inspire those around him, but still be the person that ends making the final decisions and influencing the rest of the team(s) with his point of view.

Indeed. But i feel his response is to the click bait title.

Every head of a studio clearly has the final say on what does and doesnt go into their game, So the article itself doesnt surprise me. So id imagine his response would be more to do with PC gamer acting all "Shocked" that the head of a studio has the final say on what goes into his game and using a click bait title.

Indeed, but one thing is having the final saying and another one is being too involved with less important decisions. The example given in the article about the designer that tricked him with fake ideas to get the ones he wanted aprovved is something that shouldn't have happened because that's something that the head or director of the design team should have had to handle.

Now don't get me wrong, I get that Howard, as the director and producer of the games, has the final saying and all that, but the heads of the different teams should filter all the ideas and leave only a couple options or so to Howard, with him picking one.

And, just for the sake of it, Bethesda has grown a lot since Morrowind, so I'm sure that nowadays it's the middle men that take care of most decisions.
