Utter rubbish.

I own a launch 60gb PS3 and a brand new 360, and I can assure everyone that has taken you at your word here that the 360 is significantly louder.

The only time the 360 is remotely quiet is when it is first booted up and has not yet launched the disc in its tray (and this is possibly the only time at which it is quieter than a PS3 playing a blu ray). At any other point in time it is much louder than the PS3, regardless of what the PS3 is playing.

Utter huh??? My PS3 IS louder. I didn't say that *MY* Xbox360 is quiet, I said that *MY* PS3 is louder than it. The disk is quiet but when the fan kicks in it drowns out the Xbox360 because its a constant loud whine in the background. Its quite annoying and it definately drowns out the sound of the disk in my 3 months old Xbox360. My Wii is quiet by comparison but the fan is a little wonky I think because its definately audible and from further away with quite a strange sound.

Since we're talking about personal experiences here you can't possibly be correct if im telling the truth since you're trying to refute my own experiences.
