Ys III plays and sounds better on Genesis. SNES is a bad version. SNES has Sparkster but not Rocket Knight and Rocket Knight is a superior game. With SNES's slower CPU it wasn't a good system for shmups were at that time very popular. Genesis and PCE were the go-to consoles for those games.
