Again in the end I still love SNES more for it has a lot more stuff I love but it's not hard to see why some prefer it. The best part of that generation is both consoles can be argued to be equal but different. Equally different which gives us a true variety. the gap is still so vast, there is no way something like "personal preference" can make up for it.
for example even if you "preferred" mario andretti's street racing part 2 on genesis to super metroid on snes, would it be reasonable to have a debate on which one is better? everyone knows which one is better and its the same case here. even if people prefer genesis they know the snes is better, hence why i never understood the debate. there are things i prefer that i know are inferior to other things, i dont hide behind it being "my preference" to avoid admitting it. just sayin.
