Eclipse totality. Few minutes ago. I wish I had some special lenses to photo it but I didn't think of it soon enough to order. I was in the direct path. Hard to tell, but the yellow part is the moon, the orange part was a thick ring of fire. It didn't go dark outside, it just dimmed, and all colors looked washed out. Kind of eery. All the neighborhood dogs started barking and howling 10 minutes before totality and are still barking. Roosters started crowing shortly after totality. I had a welding helmet on to watch the whole thing. I tried to photograph through the helmet lens but it didn't work.
...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.
