Not everything is easily emulated and some stuff just can't and some cases it can but not properly as the hardware is too specific. Using a mouse as a light gun sucks. Plus I like the search for new stuff in a store. That's part of the fun. Also playing on original hardware feels better. It just does plus having something tangible feels good. Otherwise, it's shallow. You don't fully appreciate the game when it becomes a Netflix issue. A million choices are so convenient you end up never watching anything. With my collection, I commit to playing it. I had fun playing Neo Contra and Onimusha Dawn of Dreams last night in all that CRT glory.
Plus I'm not into ROMS. The only time I have done anything similar was still on a disc to play on the original hardware of a canceled game like Geist Force or the Atmoswave games fan ported to Dreamcast. Oh yeah on Dreamcast I can play the game with a fishing rod motion controls. That's just so silly it's fun. LOve hearing that VMU beep.
