FTC New Document

They want to re-open discovery in order to gain further info on Microsoft's deals with Ubisoft and Sony.

They were caught off guard by the Ubisoft deal and found out about it the same day as everyone else.

Microsoft gave the FTC the terms of the agreement, the FTC wants to learn more about the rationale behind it, they say that the payment structure for the Ubisoft agreement raised doubts about whether it could be profitable for Ubisoft to license the games to other subscription service providers. They want more information from Microsoft and Ubisoft.

They want to know Ubisoft's ability, incentives and plans to market cloud streaming rights for Activision games.

They also want to know about the Microsoft-Sony deal, they want to know the circumstances surrounding Sony's decision to accept the offer.

There ain't a word for how fucking embarrassing the FTC is right now, Lol. Continue pissing away taxpayer money. The whole "but wait! Ubisoft signed a bad deal!" is so...Wasn't it FTC who did this with Nvidia as well? Basically implied that Nvidia, the $1bn company with an army of lawyers is full of idiots who signed a bad deal, now they're trying it with Ubisoft, Lmfao. Yeah FTC...You know better than every company in the industry.

Along that point, who actually fucking cares? Ubisoft signed the deal, Ubisoft agreed to the deal, they believe it's a good deal, if it doesn't work out for them long-term then that's fucking business, and it very well might be because Cloud Gaming may never take off! The fuck does FTC need to know Ubisoft's entire plans for the future for? Ability? They just fucking give the license. Incentive? Money. Market? They speak to the few Cloud companies in the industry and sign a deal with them.
