In its defense, Alan Wake wasn't necessarily the biggest game the year it came out. Positive word of mouth kept it afloat for years so hopefully that'll be the case with this one as well.

True, but because it was an Xbox exclusive, there was more buzz around the game, something that doesn't seem to happen with the sequel.
