Because 2.0 didn’t update the NPC AI lol. 2.0 changed; (from what I’ve seen)

- Overhauled entire skill tree/perk structure, making builds deeper and more precise. Perks are far more significant now.

- Overhauled the entire cyberware system now giving you a limit (you can exceed this with a perk that raises the chances of a cyberpsycho type state called fury). All cyberware can be upgraded from tier 1 to tier 5++ and there’s a lot more in the game now.

- Crafting is no longer perk dependent.

- Overhauled driving mechanics, cars feel much more weighted. Also ability to buy cars straight from the web and removed the fixer progression requirement for cars.

- 3 new radio channels.

- Car combat overhaul + police system. Maxtac fucking wreck.

My criticism even back then was that I didn't really like the world so it stands to reason it would remain the same if the NPC AI hasn't been updated. That's a shame because the NPC AI was by far one of the worst things and helped contribute to this feeling but updating AI for a game post-launch is hard. I forgot to mention about the car crash that one of the cars were flipped and someone was just chilling inside of it upside down, another car was waiting behind with the driver still in the seat, Lmao. Cops are still dumb as hell too, I'm not seeing the overhaul there.

Those updates are either, they're updates to things I didn't have an issue with or they're nice updates but not enough to convince me to replay the entire game or start Phantom Liberty. The gunplay still feels the same but the gunplay was never an issue and I always enjoyed it. I didn't have any issue with the original skill tree either so a revamp is nice but not a huge upgrade to me, at least from what I've looked at anyway. Extra cyber-ware is cool but the same as the above, not enough to draw me back in. Don't care about crafting at all, Lol. Just realised I didn't even craft in 1.0.

As for cars, I barely drive, I either just run to the destination if it's close enough or fast travel if it's far away, I tested two cars, one was awful and extremely sensitive to turning, the bike felt good though. I never minded some cars being requirement gated and looking at the web, some still are, that's fine by me. Honestly, I don't care for car combat in any game, it's why Contraband interests me so little, it's fun for 5 seconds to blow shit up but quickly passes, I never actively seek it out, I always prefer on foot combat, I just don't really like fighting in a car, in any game, Lol.

Also, I bought a house but felt it was a waste of money. Still a lack of customisation options on homes, vehicles.

I'm not saying it's bad, now without all the bugs I'd give it about a 86-88 but as I keep saying, I'm just ready for Cyberpunk 2 now, I think this is the bigger deal than my criticisms, I just don't want to replay the game, I don't really have any interest in the story of Phantom Liberty (nor any interest in the new ending it adds) and since I've done everything in my Night City already before 2.0, there is nothing left for me to do except run around killing enemies. So I'm probably just going to 100% base game and move on.

I just want Cyberpunk 2, I'm ready for them to move on, learn from all their mistakes, create a new world, a new story.
