I think this is one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to controller they have plenty of buttons available with my setup from FFXIV I have what I refer to 24 super easy skill buttons to use which basically covers anything I need but also have another 16 I could use + with sheath/un-sheath assigned to different bars from pressing Left thumb stick I have another 16 buttons that I use for out of combat and utility things and this setup also works on WoW.

I even remember them suggesting it was groundwork for a possible console port, though then I also remember them later saying that a console port wasn't planned. But anything is possible once the Xbox acquisition closes, if they get WoW working fairly efficiently on controller on PC, why not port to console? It can only mean good things for Microsoft, more WoW subs. It could also boost Gamepass subs if they tie some kind of basic tier WoW sub into Gamepass Ultimate or at least offer a discount on a WoW sub if you are subbed to Gamepass. |
WoW has native controller support already and I know people who have been raiding across all role Tank, Healer and DD for years now and perform very well at them that people wouldn't know they used a controller .
